Biography

Dr. Ashley M. Johnson is Professor of Sustainability, Geography, and Environmental Planning at ½ñÈÕ´ó¹Ï. Her teaching and research focus on riverine, coastal, and marine geospatial planning, climate and flood resilience, and community-engaged GIS that supports environmental justice and public decision-making across Northeast Florida and beyond. She has secured significant external and internal funding to expand JU’s GIS capacity, leads the Northeast Florida GIS Conference, and serves as geospatial lead on multiple regional resiliency and conservation initiatives.
