Nursing Pinning
The nursing pinning ceremony has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century. This honored ceremony originated with Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This ceremony marks the beginning of your journey as a professional nurse. We are delighted to celebrate this momentous occasion with you and your loved ones.
- Graduate Check-In: You should check in no later than 1:45 pm at Keigwin School of Nursing building. We will line up shortly before the ceremony.
- Attire: will be business, (pants required). Be advised there may be rain on the ceremony day so we strongly suggest wearing dark colors.
- Security: Please leave any belongings you have in your car or with loved ones. Per our security policy, please communicate to friends and family that clear bags will only be permitted for the Convocation Ceremony.

Greetings Student Ambassadors,
We are asking for your help with set up, directing guests, and assisting with the flow of people as well as afterward breakdown if available. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to see the Nursing Convocation ceremony as a whole, so you have an idea of how to plan for when your cohort graduates!
- For Saturday, May 2nd, if you can assist, we ask you to wear your community uniform and be available from either the morning or afternoon ceremony.
- Sunday 1:00 pm- 5:30 pm

- 5 points for orientation assistance
- 3 points for Convocation assistance
